A Faith in Focus

With an estimated 1.4 billion followers, Islam is the planet's second-largest religion.  Muslims are spread across the globe, with their numbers highest in the Middle East, North Africa and South, Central and Southeast Asia.  Perhaps surprising to Westerners, only about one in five Muslims originate from Arab lands and Muslims wave the second highest religious flag in Western European and the U.K., too.
